This has been my most adventurous year to date and I hope this trend will stay!
I am lucky to have the opportunity to work remotely and travel to many new places for komoot adventures plus my own adventures with Joost and Lola.I had a scroll through my 2022 timeline on komoot and it brought back all the great memories of this year. There are 5 adventures that stand out the most for me, some because of the amazing landscape, others because they hold a special memory. Some were solo, some with friends. Check them out!👌 A perfect gravel adventure from Zero Neuf
Perfect, because I hadn't been out by myself for a while, and knew the surroundings a little bit, but had plenty of new trails to explore. The sun was out, the green was lush and the forest wild. I felt so free on this ride, solo exploring on my gravelbike. This was one of those rides where you are totally fine with hiking your bike, losing the way and backtracking. Complete happiness.🚵♀️ The one where Ready Rob and Ruby Rampage climbed up the steep hill ⛰️
My komoot team mate Rob and I chose a less famous gravel climb close to Girona to challenge ourselves. I was super tough but so rewarding. We saw absolutely no-one going up and up, and the views were phenomenal.Spontaneous hike to Ailefroide 🏔️
Joost and me spent a week in Puy Saint Vincent in Écrins National Park in March, wanting to rock-climb the many crags around. A big dump of snow the day before we arrived opened up opportunities and we spent the week not only rock-climbing, but skiing and hiking too! On our last day we walked to the end of the Ailefroid valley, and the snow became deeper with every step. Amazing hike.🐄🌳 Hollands glorie 🐴☀️
I love our Dutch roads! After being out exploring different regions in France and Spain coming back to my home turf riding the lovely smooth lanes lined with trees and views across open fields and of course windmills was really fulfilling.🗺️ Gravel Explorer Dordogne
We had a hot summer week in the Dordogne with family and I took one day to go on a long solo ride adding as many gravel segments as I could find. Some where a bit dodgy, but most were just right, and gave such a different perspective of the landscape. I found that even in the height of summer the north of the Dordogne region is super quiet. Breathtaking ride, both because of the views and the heat.Hope you enjoy my little 2022 wrap up and get inspired by these routes! Wishing you all an adventurous new year 🥳
