Wow, what a year that was, wasn't it? Sure some bits sucked, but this collection is about the good times, so here's my bestest adventures and those solid hundy.P memories from 2023...

𝙀𝙣𝙙𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙡𝙖𝙫𝙖 𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙙𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙖𝙢𝙚𝙡 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘 𝙟𝙖𝙢𝙨 [Lᴀɴᴢᴀʀᴏᴛᴇ]🌋 getting up at the crack of dawn and arriving home after dark, knackered and dusty 🫶 Igor, never one to turn down a ride. The more daft it seems or the least planned the affair; the bigger the "YES"☕ stopping at those little roadside cafes for so many little coffees and chips (... yet only spending 4 euros?!)🏃🏻 bumping into Jørgen in the middle of the Timanfiya national park🤕 falling over so many times, an 80k ride across lava fields is not the time for "my first SPD ride"

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙩𝙤𝙪𝙧 [Sʜᴇꜰꜰɪᴇʟᴅ, UK]👪 riding some fast & flowy trails with two of my most long suffering riding friends; Chris and Cassie, braaap.😂 meeting the legendary Eloise, and learning the meaning of the word "chobbly", like: "𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘭 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘣𝘪𝘵 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘣𝘣𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘐 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥". An inspiring rider, and person generally.

𝙋𝙪𝙢𝙥 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙥𝙞𝙨𝙨 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 [Wᴇɪssᴇɴsᴇᴇ, Aᴜsᴛʀɪᴀ]☔ when it's raining but you have a pump track, bikes and beer💪 real progression was made, railing not snailing! 🤜🤛 YEEEW

𝘾𝙖𝙥𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙡 𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙬𝙤: 𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤 𝙀𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙗𝙪𝙧𝙜𝙝 [Sᴄᴏᴛʟᴀɴᴅ]a standout day from this trip, a long ride from the Tweed Valley to Edinburgh🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 oh how I love this country (and the access rights)🍳 Chris, your distaste of eggs is at the heart of our friendship, I'll always take that little yolky boi off your plate... 𝘠𝘖𝘐𝘕𝘒!🐶 meeting Steph and her bestest dog friend Archie in a boozer for a lovely pub meal, perfect end to the day

𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙚𝙧 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙨 [Yᴏʀᴋsʜɪʀᴇ]👌 oooof! a sunny summer day in dear old Blighty really takes some beating.

🌞 sometimes you just gotta sack it off early and ride in the sunshine 🐕 for a moment I thought I managed to convince a farm dog to join my peloton, turns out he didn't even have a mountain bike and was just trying to bite me

𝙔𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙚 𝘿𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝘾𝙮𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙬𝙖𝙮: 𝙄𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙤 𝙂𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙣 𝙇𝙤𝙙𝙜𝙚 [Yᴏʀᴋsʜɪʀᴇ]🚴‍♂️ my first multi-day ride on my own 😌 riding alone felt chilled, but I was happy to meet new people in hostels when the evening rolled around 🦥 not giving up on any of the hills, climbing slowly is still better than walking

🏡 just cruising the lovely lanes of the Yorkshire dales, every turn corner rewarding (yet, every climb punishing)
